Restorative Flow

Restorative Flow is a gentle and supportive yoga class which combines elements of restorative, hatha, gentle flow and yin yoga, creating a balanced and restorative practice that nurtures both body and mind.

Restorative Flow is our signature class; a hybrid that we have proudly invented ourselves here at Half Moon and we love this one very much! It is loved by the advanced yogi and beginner alike because it gives everyone a chance to slow down and adopt a slow grounding rhythm of breath and healing nourishing movement.

In this class, you will be guided through a series of slow, graceful movements that promote flexibility, strength, and balance. The focus is on connecting with your breath, moving mindfully and with intention, and cultivating a sense of inner peace and well-being. You will experience a combination of gentle flow, yin and restorative poses, and flowing transitions in between restorative poses.

The slow flow style of this class allows for a deep and intentional connection with each movement, encouraging you to listen to your body and find your own unique rhythm. With its calming and meditative quality, this type of yoga is the perfect way to unwind after a long day, to release physical and emotional tension, connect more deeply with yourself or to simply relax and recharge.

Vinyasa Glow

Vinyasa Glow is an energetic and flowing style of yoga that combines dynamic movement with mindfulness and breath. This type of class is designed to invigorate the body, clear the mind and uplift the spirit.

Yin Nidra and Meditation

“Yoga Nidra Meditation” is a deep relaxation and meditation practice that takes you on a journey within. This guided meditation combines breath awareness, visualisation, and body awareness to induce a state of deep relaxation and therapeutic rejuvenation.
Yoga Nidra translates as ‘yogic sleep’ and is said to be the deepest state of relaxation possible apart from sleep.

In this class, we will start with approximately thirty to forty minutes of yin yoga. Deep yet gentle stretches; some that we will hold longer and some shorter. These wonderful stretches, compressions and decompressions will prepare the body for relaxation.

You will then be led through a series of meditative exercises that promote physical and mental relaxation, helping you to release stress and tension, and cultivate a sense of inner peace and well-being. The practice is done lying down, making it a restorative and supportive experience for the body.

Yoga Nidra Meditation focuses on muscle relaxation, stillness, deep breathing, and mindfulness, with an emphasis on allowing yourself to simply be present in each moment. But also giving yourself permission to drift with your mind and enter into a dream-like state where your brain wave state can shift inducing a very magical and therapeutic effect on the body and brain. Pilates Flow

Our mat pilates class is an energising blend of pilates and yoga flow. A full body workout to tone and strengthen the arms core glute and legs. Starting on the floor, expect traditional pilates moves infused with a dash of spice to build heat in the body. Experience some uplifting flowing yoga moves and center with some mindful breathing. Step of the mat feeling empowered.

Restorative Radiance

Restorative Radiance is a gentle yin style of yoga that combines passive postures, props and relaxation techniques to create a deeply calming and rejuvenating practice. This is a very slow and gentle experience, designed to be soothing to the nervous system and supportive of the body’s natural healing process. If you are healing from an injury you can expect to have no pressure or strain at all on the body as we use a lot of props and support for each pose.

This type of class is designed to help you release physical and emotional tension, reduce stress, nervousness and anxiety, and cultivate a deeper sense of inner peace, calm and well-being.

In a Restorative class, you will be guided through a series of passive and supported postures, using props such as blankets, bolsters and cushions to fully relax into each pose. We relax and soften into each pose for 3-7 minutes. In this way it is similar to a yin pose; except a more gentle version. The focus is on surrendering control, letting go of physical and mental tension, and entering into deeper states of tranquility. The benefits include a stretching, opening and tension relief from the fascia – connective tissues, release of deeper tension and tightness in the joints, improving your posture and mobility as well as creating emotional equilibrium.

With it’s emphasis on stillness and relaxation, Restorative Radiance is the perfect way to unwind after a long day or week, to release stress and tension, take some time for yourself and to simply recharge and rejuvenate. You will be guided in visualizing scenarios that promote well-being, happiness, and success, and given the tools to use creative visualization in your daily life.

Relaxation techniques and stillness practices will help you unwind and let go of the stress and tension of daily life. In this class, you will learn how to quiet your mind and focus on your breath, allowing you to achieve a deep sense of relaxation and inner peace.

Stretch, Strength and Core

Elevate your Body, Heart, and Mind!

Our Stretch, Strength and Core wellbeing sessions focus on being fully present with yourself through mindful stretching, mobility, and core exercises. This is a functional strength and conditioning class involving stretching, strengthening and building your core. Facilitated by an inspiring Personal Trainer and Athletic Coach (this is not yoga).

All accompanied by music and guided by conversation.

Parents, Kids & Bubs Singing Circle. Friends welcome!

Twinkle Little Star aims to provide a space where parents and their supporters can connect with others and enhance well-being through the soothing power of singing. Whether you’re an old hand at parenting or have only recently welcomed your first bub, you’ve probably already discovered it’s one of the toughest – and most precious – jobs you’ll ever have. Sharing this journey, through music-making, offers a chance to lighten the load through song, while boosting bub’s cognitive development at the same time. Anything goes in class; bub can roam, feed, cry, sleep – while you let the music take you where you need to be. And no prior musical experience or singing ability is necessary. We also welcome you in your pre-natal stage or any friends or carers etc, this group is all about warm connection,family and community!
